With the approaching of International Children's Day, consumers are increasingly concerned about the quality and safety of children's products. As a big cake in the children's product market, child strollers have attracted the favor of many merchants. However, the quality of such a dazzling array of baby strollers on the market varies greatly. For this reason, the "Consumer Proposition" column program team of CCTV Finance Channel specially visited our Yike Testing to learn about the "little things" about stroller testing.
Firstly, experts from Yike Testing led CCTV reporters to visit the laboratory and briefly introduced the steps of stroller testing, including mechanical and physical performance testing, chemical toxic and harmful substance testing, and textile testing. They also briefly explained the relevant standards and the reasons for standard setting - which testing items that fail can cause harm to children.
In addition, CCTV reporters also visited the Car Seat Impact Laboratory. Although the main focus of this program is on introducing the safety performance of child strollers, the reporters have also realized the importance of child car safety seats for babies' travel through their understanding of child safety seat testing. They hope that there will be a special report on child car safety seats in the future.
The official filming began, and different types of child strollers were tested under the cameras of the reporters. Although used for filming, the testing process was still strictly carried out according to the standards to ensure the authenticity of the testing process.
The reporters brought samples of different brands and prices purchased from the market, and indeed some products encountered problems during the mechanical and physical performance testing process, such as:
1. The exposed pipe opening has sharp edges that may scratch children.
2. The stroller has gaps that are not qualified, which may cause children's fingers to be caught during use.
3. The brake system is not qualified.
4. The handle strength is not qualified.
5. The strength of the folding locking device is not qualified.
……
In addition, in response to the samples brought by the reporter, toxic and harmful substances, heavy metals, restricted plasticizers, formaldehyde and other chemical residues were tested separately, as well as textile combustion experiments.
Through this inspection, we have learned that even products randomly purchased by reporters on the market still have issues with quality. Therefore, when parents choose a child stroller for their children, they must pay attention to quality and safety, and choose a brand that can be trusted and has quality assurance. We cannot be tempted by cheapness, as it will ultimately cause irreversible harm to children.
This episode will be broadcasted on CCTV 2 Finance Channel at 7:25 pm on June 1st. Yike Testing will continue to follow up on the report and broadcast of this special program on children's strollers. Please stay tuned.
Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to the CCTV reporters for their two days of uninterrupted filming. We are constantly striving for better quality and a better life for our children!
