ISO/TC 310 (Technical Committee on International Standards for Childcare Products) was established in June 2021 jointly by China and France.

The chairmanship rotation agreement signed by China and France based on 2021 is being implemented in an orderly manner. Zhu Yunlong, the rotating chairperson of the Chinese side, and Catherin, the chairperson of the French side, have maintained good communication and co-operation, and the three-member management team manages the daily work of ISO/TC 310 together. After several rounds of preparation for the group meeting, the first global expert meeting of ISO/TC 310 was successfully organised on 15-17 June 2021 .

At the same time, the Management Group planned and set up the Chairman's Advisory Group (CAG), which consists of 10 representatives (including the Chairman and the TC Manager), and two representatives from China participated in the CAG, namely Zhu Yunlong and Lei Zaiming from the Domestic Technical Counterpart Expert Group (DTCEG).

The scope of standard development and revision of ISO/TC310 is divided into four major categories, with a total of 44 standards to be developed. At present, ISO/TC310 has established four working groups (WG), namely: WG1 ‘General Safety Requirements’, WG2 ‘Feeding and Oral Products’, WG3 ‘Activity and Protective Products’, and AHG1 ‘Safety Requirements’. WG1 ‘General Safety Requirements’, WG2 ‘Feeding and Mouth Products’, WG3 ‘Activity and Protective Products’ and AHG1 ‘Sleeping Products’. The Chinese representatives, Mr Zhu Yunlong and Mr Lei Zaiming, are the convenors of two working groups, WG1 ‘General Safety Requirements’ and WG3 ‘Activity and Protection’ respectively. At present, the working groups are planning to set up expert teams and carry out related work. The Management Group is discussing the arrangement of the next Global Expert Meeting and plans to hold the second Global Expert Meeting in November 2022.

At present, the co-operation between China and France is relatively smooth, and both sides have built up a high degree of mutual trust during the past five years of co-operation, and the influence of the Chinese expert team in ISO/TC310 is being strengthened, so as to proactively contribute to Chinese wisdom for the early establishment of a perfect international standard system in this field.
