Car child safety seat, also known as Child Restraint System (CRS). It is a seat designed for children of different ages (or weights) and is installed in the car to improve the safety of children travelling in the car. Using a child safety seat can significantly reduce the risk of injury.


The European Child Restraint System Regulation UN129 takes the lead in introducing side impact protection requirements, and the new national standard also adds side impact protection requirements for children travelling in vehicles, and will be promulgated and implemented in the near future. The American Standard has also updated the child restraint system regulations and added side impact protection requirements.  eqo is the first to carry out the research and analysis of FMVSS213 child restraint system in lateral collision in China, and has successfully solved the technical problems such as side-impact curve and side-impact sponge, etc.  eqo  is now able to provide the side-impact and positive-impact service of FMVSS213 for child car seat manufacturers, which will help them to develop the U.S. market.


The major updates to the new FMVSS 213 Child Restraint Systems standard are as follows


The newly added side impact requirement is a 10 degree offset side impact collision with a crash speed of: 30.66km/h~31.94km/h, using the American Standard Side Impact Dummy Q3S;
