Recently, the Central Secretariat of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) has announced the official appointment of the Chairman of ISO/TC 310. The Technical Management Committee of ISO has appointed Mr. Zhu Yunlong, Chairman of EQO Testing, as the Chairman of ISO/TC 310 for the term of 2024-2026.   

In June 2021, ISO/TC 310 (Technical Committee on International Standards for Childcare Products) was established jointly by China and France, and it was decided that Dr. Zhu Yunlong from the Chinese side would be the rotating Chairperson from 2021-2023. Since 2021, the rotating Chairperson, Dr. Zhu Yunlong, in collaboration with the French Chairperson and more than 80 experts from more than 40 countries around the globe, has initiated the development of 8 international standards in the field of children's products out of 44 international standards. ISO/TC 310 has established 4 Working Groups (WGs), and Dr Zhu Yunlong is the convenor of WG1 ‘General Safety Requirements’, leading the development of 6 of these standards.

After taking over the chairmanship of ISO/TC310, Dr Zhu will be responsible for the overall management of ISO/TC310 and will start a new working mode of ISO/TC310, leading global experts to accelerate the pace of developing international standards for childcare products and establish an international standard system for childcare products as soon as possible.

As the chairman of ISO/TC 310 and the convenor unit of WG1 and WG3, EQO TEST will continue to focus on technological innovation and continuously improve its scientific and technological R&D capability and technical level. It will adhere to specialised integration, integrate internal and external resources, and actively participate in international and domestic standardisation work, so as to contribute to the establishment of the international standard system.
