Proficiency testing refers to the use of inter-laboratory comparisons to determine the testing/calibration capabilities of a laboratory, and is a validation activity to ensure that a laboratory maintains a high level of calibration and testing to assess, monitor and confirm its capabilities. Participation in a proficiency testing programme provides laboratories with objective evidence to evaluate the reliability and validity of the data they produce. Therefore, for the organisations undertaking proficiency testing projects, there are strict requirements in terms of project experience and comprehensive technical capabilities.

As a professional third-party testing and certification organisation, EQO Testing has been actively involved in proficiency testing for many years. In FY2023, eqo participated in a number of proficiency testing and inter-laboratory comparisons organised by Jiangsu Market Supervision Administration, Guangzhou Customs Technology Centre, China Machinery Industry Federation, Guangdong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Inspection and Quarantine Technology Centre, Ecological and Environmental Standard Sample Research Institute, etc., which involved a wide range of fields including chemistry, baby products, automotive materials, electrical products, toys, textiles, etc., and the evaluation results were all in the affirmative. The evaluation results are all ‘satisfactory’.
