Mechanical vibration refers to the reciprocating motion of an object near its equilibrium position. During the process of mechanical vibration, some physical parameters of the vibrating object, such as displacement and velocity, will undergo repeated changes, which can pose certain hazards to daily life and engineering projects. For example, vibration can cause noise pollution, which can cause damage to the human body; It will exacerbate the fatigue and wear of components, shorten the service life of machines, etc. Today we will share the preparation work before the vibration testing commission test.
Before commissioning the vibration test, these six things need to be done
Purpose of vibration test
The purpose of vibration testing is to simulate a series of vibration phenomena, test whether the product can withstand the vibration environment during transportation or use during its life cycle, and determine the requirements and standards for product design and functionality. The essence of vibration testing is to confirm the reliability of the product, screen out defective products before leaving the factory, and evaluate their failure analysis to make them high-level and highly reliable products.
What preparations need to be made before commissioning a vibration test?
1. It is necessary to know the weight and size of the product in order to choose a suitable vibration testing equipment. If the product size is relatively large and the weight is heavy, a specialized fixture for fixing the sample needs to be made. Each laboratory has its own table size drawing, and a fixture of any shape should be designed according to the drawing. It should be noted that the material of the fixture must be rigid, such as channel steel or aviation aluminum.
2. The basis/testing standards/customized testing conditions for vibration testing include: GB 2423, GJB 150A, GJB 360, GJB 548, GJB 4, GJB 367A, GB 25119/IEC 61373/GB 21563, GB 6587, GB 11287, GB 16806, QC 413, ISO 16750, GB 4857, etc.
The standards for sinusoidal vibration mainly include:
GB/T2423.10-2008 Environmental testing for electrical and electronic products - Part 2: Test methods - Test Fc: Vibration (sinusoidal)
IEC60068-2-6-2007 Basic Environmental Testing Code - Part 2: Tests - Section 6: Test Fc: Vibration (sine wave)
ISO8318:2000 Packaging - Full load transport packaging and unit cargo - Using variable frequency sine vibration test
GB/T4857.10-2005 Packaging - Basic tests for transport packages - Part 10: Sinusoidal variable frequency vibration test method
The random vibration standards mainly include:
GB/T2423.56-2006 Environmental testing for electrical and electronic products Part 2: Test methods Test Fh: Broadband random vibration (digital control) and guidelines
IEC60068-2-64-2008 Basic environmental testing procedures - Part 2-64: Tests - Test Fh: Vibration, broadband random sampling
ASTMD4728-2006 Standard Test Method for Random Vibration Testing of Marine Containers
GB/T4857.23-2003 Packaging Transport Packaging Random Vibration Test Method
3. Determine the specific vibration test conditions, and choose some standards. The specific test conditions are already known, while some standards need to be selected according to the usage environment of their own products;
4. Generally, the vibration test is conducted in three directions, but there are also those that only require horizontal or vertical testing;
5. Vibration testing belongs to mechanical destructive testing, and in most cases, it does not need to be conducted in an energized state. However, some vibration tests specifically have functional tests that require continuous live vibration during the vibration test process, such as the vibration of propeller aircraft in GJB150A-2009 and the functional vibration test in GB21563, which both require live testing.
As a user, it is necessary to know how to determine after the vibration test is completed. Generally, only the appearance and structure of the sample are judged to be undamaged, and the screws are not detached; If there are no abnormalities during and after the sample vibration test, it can be written that the product is working normally when powered on.
