On October 16, 2019, the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) released Executive Resolution (EU) 2019/1728, updating the list of coordinated standards for Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC. This update mainly lists EN 71-3:2019 "Toy Safety - Part 3: Migration of Specific Elements" as a coordinated standard for toy safety directives. The previous version of EN 71-3:2013+A3:2018 will be withdrawn on April 15, 2020. The resolution came into effect on October 16, 2019.

The coordinated standard EN 71-3:2019 will completely replace the old standard EN 71-3:2013+A3:2018 on April 15, 2020. Toy related enterprises should pay attention to the deadline of the transition period, timely test their products according to the new standard, and ensure that the products are exported in compliance. EQO has extensive experience in toy testing, helping you easily understand regulatory changes.
