We often see news reports about housing disputes and abandoned buildings, and the main reason for this phenomenon is the use of inferior building materials. Many rural families do not pay much attention to the issue of building materials when building their own houses, as long as the quality of the building materials is qualified. However, in urban buildings, whether it is residential housing, commercial buildings, or industrial buildings, the requirements for building materials are relatively high, and high-quality building materials are necessary to ensure that the quality of the building meets the standards. Each type of building material has its own fixed testing method. Let's take a look at the commonly used testing methods for building materials.

1. On site concrete mixing inspection

According to the national quality acceptance standards for concrete construction, the strength of concrete should be tested. The principle of random sampling should be adopted during sampling, and the sampling should be repeated in three groups to ensure the repeatability and reliability of the test results.

2. Commercial concrete

After being purchased and transported to the construction site, commercial concrete needs to be sampled and tested according to the pre mixed concrete testing standards. The concrete used for delivery should be sampled at the delivery location, and the concrete used for leaving the factory should be sampled at the mixing construction site. For the quality of pre mixed concrete, each truck must undergo visual inspection.

3. Reinforcement testing

For different groups of reinforced building materials, different batches of sampling and testing are required to determine indicators such as the diameter, length, and bending center diameter of the steel bars.

4. Wall material testing

Different wall materials use different testing methods. Random sampling method is used for sampling and testing, and compressive strength and density tests are conducted on the wall materials to ensure that their load-bearing capacity meets the design requirements of the building.

5. Waterproof material testing

Waterproof materials are a key aspect of construction that needs to be emphasized in building engineering. Many buildings, due to inadequate waterproofing construction, require further rectification during use, which increases the cost and difficulty of rectification. The waterproof materials used by the construction party need to have testing reports and qualification certificates, and must clearly pay attention to key indicators such as the service life, product specifications, and scope of use. In addition to testing the physical properties of waterproof materials, it is also necessary to conduct water injection tests to determine their performance.
