After use, it is easy to become dependent, causing skin atrophy, thinning, telangiectasia, pigmented spots, and skin wrinkles and aging. Long-term use of cosmetics with antibiotics may cause adverse reactions such as contact dermatitis, manifested as erythema, edema, erosion, scaling, oozing, itching, and burning. Chloramphenicol also causes leukopenia, inhibits bone marrow, and causes liver damage. In the long run, antibiotics tend to lead to increased bacterial resistance, which reduces the efficacy of drugs and delays treatment, leading to serious social problems.

In view of the unqualified cosmetics found in the supervision and sampling, the Wenzhou Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau has transferred the relevant county (city, district) market supervision departments to the unqualified cosmetics business units for investigation and punishment. The relevant production units involved in the unqualified cosmetics are all outside the province, and the Wenzhou Municipal Market Supervision Bureau has sent a letter to the local regulatory department of the unqualified cosmetics production unit to assist in the investigation.
